Hello! I have been visiting my husband’s home town of Tumut for the last 15 years, and fell in love with the Riverina region immediately. We decided to move our family here from tropical Cairns QLD as we were on the search for cooler weather, a tree change, and to be closer to family. I enjoy hiking, camping with my husband and three kids, and a delicious local coffee. Tumut does not disappoint! I really enjoy the community here.

I have opened KMH Occupational Therapy because I believe that everyone should be given the tools in life to achieve their best. I am passionate about Occupational Therapy, and particularly mental health, because helping people participate in activities that bring them joy and purpose is the best job in the world!

I have worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 15 years. I have extensive experience in the public system of Community Mental Health in Cairns, Townsville, and Brisbane. I have been fortunate to work with an abundance of culturally diverse individuals and families from all walks of life. My colleagues have always said I have a calm and friendly personality that allows me to easily connect with clients. I treat everyone with compassion, whilst always remaining professional and focused on achieving best possible results for my clients. I am excited to bring my experience and knowledge to Tumut and surrounding towns, and look forward to working with you on your goals.

I will always work by your side with kindness, mindfulness, and hope!

When I was growing up, my Grandmother stressed to me that “you must give back to the Community you live in to keep it alive”.

While my Grandfather maintained that “laughter is good at all times”.

I have strived to maintain these lessons throughout my life.

I left school at 15 1/2 years of age. During the 60’s, computer programming commenced in Australia and at the age of 17, I became one of the first and youngest programmers in the Country. Fascinating, full on and I loved it.

My hobby was Ice-skating at St. Moritz rink in St. Kilda.

After programming for 7 years, I accepted an offer to tour the world as a Professional ice-skater with Holiday on Ice and toured Asia, South America, the Middle East and Southern Europe, performing to audiences of 3,000 to 35,000.

My other hobby was water skiing.

I settled in Mulwala in 1985 with my husband Peter and 2 teenage sons.

Mark and Sean. I worked with the Mulwala Water Ski Club Show Team where I taught skiers theatrical moves on the water, similar to ice skating.

I also spent 5 years as a Co-ordinator for the Miss Australia awards.

Currently, I spend my time as a Department of NSW Health Volunteer leader, teaching exercises to the over 55’s in our towns and Aqua exercises in our new heated pool in Corowa.

I am proud to be on the Ageing Well Advisory Committee for Federation Council as an Ambassador.

Talk about the best job in the world for me now. Thanks Jeremy and Carly. I see the fabulous results of the Back on Track Physiotherapy “Vitality Passport “ program which I facilitate in my Community. All helping people to Age Well.

My life has been an amazing journey and I have no regrets. I have learnt that experiences and life skills must be passed on for preservation by future generations.

I am looking forward to partying hard in 2023 to celebrate my 80th birthday.

Hello all Vitality champions, participants and future participants.

I am a Physiotherapist based near Gundagai. I am in the Vitality team as a Physiotherapist and Group facilitator. So far I have helped run the Vitality program in Cootamundra, Tumut, Adelong and Gundagai. It has been lots of fun, learning together, meeting new people with different life stories, and getting to know more people in the community. I am always delighted by small positive changes people make to their lifestyle during the Vitality program.

I provide a local Physiotherapy service from the Gundagai Medical Centre every week as well as run a couple of Yoga classes, one being on a Friday morning at the Mirrabooka Centre in Gundagai for the ‘not so young’. Anyone is welcome to attend. I also see children in the community and enjoy providing home Physiotherapy visits when necessary.

The more I teach how important it is to stay active, the more I seem to want to do! I have a passion for hiking in the mountains, swimming and water sports, competing in running events with friends, yoga and exploring the hills and river on the family farm. My son and husband are dragged along, and thankfully always enjoy an active adventure. Our special place is relaxing by the River, spotting a fish jump or a Peregrine Falcon nest, laughing with friends by a fire, as we feast on a delicious BBQ.
