Prenatal Program
At Back on Track Physiotherapy we are passionate about providing outstanding ante-natal care. We have developed a pilates program that ensures you remain fit, strong and healthy throughout your pregnancy and prepares you for life as a mum.
Prenatal Physiotherapy
Growing a small human is hard work and each mum and pregnancy can be different. Many women can suffer with back and neck pain, pelvis and hip pain and assume it's just part of being pregnant. However, techniques such as massage, manual therapy, bracing/taping and exercise can help control pain and make your pregnancy comfortable so you can focus on the important parts.
Exercise during pregnancy can be daunting, our team can help guide you to continue safely exercising right up to your due date should you choose to.
Labour Preparation
Preparing for labour can be daunting. Our pelvic health physiotherapists can assist with preparing your body for labour through assessments at 20 and 36 weeks, we can provide you with advice and preparation tools to help your delivery go smoothly.
Obstetric TENS Hire
We have Obstetric TENS units for hire for your labour. TENS is a safe and drug- free alternative to pain management during labour. A transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulator ( known as TENS) works by sending electrical pulses through the skin to start your body’s own pain killers. The electrical pulses can release endorphins and other substances to stop pain signals in the brain, which can help control mild pain and distraction from contractions.
